Day two in Bargara - Nov. 18, 2013

MONDAY – NOVEMEBR 18, 2013

BOTTOM LINE:
Tennis on a half court
Laundry and laying low
Welcome orientation at resort
Booked trip to Great Barrier Reef

BACK STORY:
After a wicked thunder, lightening and windstorm that took out the electricity, Bruce and I were ready to stretch our legs.  We borrowed rackets from the resort and headed to where the tennis court is. Surprisingly we found the tennis court to be a half court…another first!  It was like a cross between tennis and ping-pong!  Good laughs and exercise…Lawrence where are you?

Half court

Pretty overcast day with high humidity, but cooler temps…a good day to get laundry done and get caught up on some “housekeeping.”

Thankfully my cold is nearly gone…ahhh the bliss of good health!

To celebrate Bruce’s birthday, we made reservations to take a bus north and then a boat east to Lady Musgrave Island tomorrow for a day of exploring the Great Barrier Reef.  It is the most southern tip of the reef and our only chance to get out and see it.  Weather reports indicate more rain is on the way, it appears that our best chance for visibility and calm waters will be tomorrow.

Doing some cooking for dinner, Taghreed style! (Our Iraq families way of cooking which should only be served over Khalid’s rice)
